I'm sure many dog lovers will agree that there is no more affectionate and loyal animal than a dog. But even among them, there are some that stand out. Let's find out who they are!

In general, dogs are loyal to their owners and their families. But there are some dogs that have mastered this and stand out considerably for their affectionate attachment. Here we look at them in more detail.

Puli, pumi and mudi

Of the Hungarian breeds, the herding dogs are perhaps the most loyal and affectionate (although the love of a Hungarian Vizsla is overwhelming!). Shepherds believe that herding dogs are loyal to the man himself, the shepherd, and shepherd dogs are loyal to the flock. If the shepherd had business elsewhere, the Pulis, Pumis or Mudis went with him and someone else had to be entrusted with the herding. But the shepherd dogs were always with the flock, no matter what. But these three breeds are just as affectionate when kept as pets. They are always alert to what their owners are doing. If necessary, they herd family members into one place and don’t move a step. They are very people-oriented, their master is everything to them.

German Boxer

They can sometimes seem a little grumpy, but Boxers are known for forming unusually deep and strong bonds with their families. This means that they need more attention and care than other dogs, but the owner gets it back tenfold!

Labrador Retriever

The number one representative of the assistance dogs, who will serve their owners with loyalty and devotion for the rest of their lives. He is a very affectionate and clever dog, who can be trained quickly and relatively easily because of his love of people. He is not stubborn, he just does what is expected of him.

Golden Retriever

One of the world’s most popular dog breeds, and a regular star of touching dog films. Who doesn’t love a golden? And they love people just as much. They are extremely affectionate dogs, blessed with endless patience and kindness. It’s almost out of this world what they feel for their owners!

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is often referred to as the perfect family dog, as it has all the qualities needed to be the perfect family dog. He is a kind, affectionate, loving and loyal companion who does not cause much discomfort to his owner, but simply lavishes him with endless love. The only drawback of the breed is that they have a high incidence of heart problems, with most individuals developing this condition by the age of 10 years.

Havanese

Havaneses in general are incredibly affectionate and loving dogs. They are all about their owners and family, and their sweet nature brings instant cheer and cheerfulness to a grey day. They are very demanding of their owner’s closeness and endlessly affectionate.

Leonberger

For the Leonberger, family is everything. The big bear has a big heart with room for many. An extremely calm, affectionate and loyal dog with a sensitive soul. Very people-oriented, he loves to be close to his owner.

Newfoundland

It is not by chance that the Newfoundland is related to the Leonberger: their characters are very similar, as the Newfoundland is a real sweetheart who is deeply attached to his owner. He is a very lovable dog, very loyal and affectionate, and a real companion for anyone lucky enough to live with one.

Jack Russell Terrier

This fiery and self-conscious dog is in fact extremely affectionate and loyal to his family. He follows his master everywhere, needs to know everything and is ready to protect his loved ones if necessary. And when he’s not spinning his wheels, he’ll happily stretch out on the sofa for a tummy scratch to deepen the bond even more!

Pug

The Pug is a very lovable character, who for centuries has only ever loved his owners. And he is a master at it! He’s affectionate, loyal and loving, always ready to put a smile on his family

Yorkshire Terrier

A Yorkie is not a fancy dog sitting on a silk cushion, but rather a self-conscious little house dog who, when he’s not showing his confidence, is a sensitive little creature who is endlessly devoted to his owner. Like a good terrier, he wants to know everything and be everywhere, but most importantly, he wants to be in the lap of his beloved two-legged friend.
