Despite signals from the other dogs that swimming is no longer suitable for him, the stubborn old one still jumps into the water – where he eventually realizes it was a bad idea. However, his companion helps him swim out.

Extra attention must be paid to the care of a beloved pet as they enter their senior years. Besides proper nutrition, it’s important to create a safe environment and ensure an adequate amount and quality of exercise, taking into account the dog’s changed abilities. If the dog is facing health issues due to age, we cannot expect them to behave the same as before. This is especially true if alongside physical problems, they also experience cognitive issues such as dementia.
