This scared the giant guard dog to death: video of him shaking

Jules Warner has a small farm near Alberta, Canada, where she also keeps goats. Huck, her beloved guard dog has recently shown a surprising amount of courage.

The scared dog was shaking all over in fear because there were fireworks in the area. Yet he refused to move from the goats in his charge, for he was on duty. His owner tried to reassure him, but even his proximity brought him no relief.

The whole time he was shaking with fear. Even though he was so terrified, I couldn’t get him to leave duty. His goats are his family and, above his own fears, he wanted to make sure they were safe.

Huck is an Abruzzo Sheepdog who, not coincidentally, looks very similar to several breeds. These are the Kuvasz, the Great Pyrenees, and the Slovak Cuvac and they are presumably descended from a common ancestor. He is known for his alert, lively, and courageous nature, and for protecting the goods entrusted to him at all costs. Huck has all the virtues of his breed, and even his own fear could not stop him from doing his duty.
